Acoustic Texture Being Scraped - But Wallpaper Not Being Replaced?


 

In this scenario the insurer has estimated to scrape the thick acoustic ceiling texture but the wallpapered walls that adjoin the textured ceiling are not being replaced.

When the thick acoustic ceiling texture is scraped it will destroy the edges of the wallpaper and so it should be replaced too.
The wallpaper should not be addressed until it has been shown to be damaged
The wallpaper should not be addressed until it has been shown to be damaged. Then the contractor should be blamed.
Tell them it will be addressed if it is damaged - then the insurer can keep the money if they wait too long to do the work.
